Aalto EE – Brand visuals

We created abstract visuals for Aalto University Executive Education (Aalto EE), centered around an abstract shape called ”The Shape” and capturing the multifaceted nature of their new identity through motion and form. The two sides of the identity — “forerunner” and “humane” — each have distinct characteristics and styles, yet remain clearly connected as part of a unified whole.

”The Shape” symbolizes Aalto EE’s transformative power, representing continuous change, development and learning. It is designed to be intriguing, timeless and human-like. ”The Shape” has two main manifestations, each reflecting a core value proposition of Aalto EE.

Forerunner, the basic form of ”The Shape”, is full of shades and colors, resembling a mix of glass and liquid. It is translucent yet deep, symbolizing the future, potential, and continuous movement.

Humane consists of numerous small particles that represent collaboration, swarm intelligence and the collective power of organizations. These particles are always on the move, seamlessly.

This visual concept consist of a set of 3D still renders and short 3D animation loops. The aim was to create assets that are flexible — and can be used as hero visuals, looping backgrounds, social ads or motion accents across Aalto EE’s communications.
