Elisa – Character Design

We created two fun animated characters for Elisa: Dotti is a playful, round ball character designed with simplicity and warmth, perfect for evoking smiles and instant connection. In contrast, Myräkkä brings wild energy to the screen—a whirlwind of fun with a slightly chaotic twist, yet crafted in the same cohesive visual style.

We created a set of still images and animated loops that are used across various Elisa marketing materials.

Bringing Dotti to life

Dotti’s design focused on charm through simplicity. Dotti’s round body is inspired by the dot in the Elisa “i”. From that starting point, we explored how to turn a basic shape into a character full of warmth and charm. These early sketches show how we used soft lines, expressive features, and a sense of playful movement to give Dotti her approachable, joyful personality.

Unleashing Myräkkä

While Dotti brings calm and charm, Myräkkä is their energetic counterpart—a character inspired by motion and unpredictability. From early sketches to final animations, we played with sharp lines, exaggerated expressions, and bold movement to capture his whirlwind spirit. The final stills and motion bring his personality to life, while keeping him visually in tune with Dotti through a shared, cohesive design language.
